Vaccinations


At Premier Vet Care Animal Clinic, we recommend keeping your pets up-to-date on the core vaccines and any additional vaccines for which your pets may be at risk as outlined below. Our recommendations are based on the AHAA Canine Guidelines and American Association of Feline Practitioners Guidelines in addition to the known risks in our area. Dogs
  • Rabies
  • Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo, Parainfluenza (DHPP)
  • Leptospirosis 
  • Bordetella

If your dog is at risk, these vaccines are also recommended:

  • Rattlesnake
  • Canine Influenza
  • Lyme's Disease
Cats
  • Rabies
  • Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia (FVRCP)

If your cat goes outside or is ever at risk for exposure to FeLV, we also recommend:

  • Feline Leukemia vaccine


*We recommend against self-vaccinating your pets. Unfortunately, improper handling can compromise the integrity of over-the-counter vaccines, making many of these vaccines ineffective. Unless stored and given exactly as labeled, these vaccines could leave your pet at risk for deadly diseases. Additionally, only healthy pets should be vaccinated, which must be determined by a recent physical exam by a licensed Veterinarian.
