We are focused on helping your pet live a long and healthy life. Regular wellness and preventative care can do just that! An annual exam with bloodwork helps us catch early signs of disease, such as a heart murmur, abdominal mass, dental disease, renal insufficiency, liver disease, etc. Early detection of disease allows us to take action quickly, providing your pet with a better quality of life for longer. Vaccinations and preventatives also protect your pet from deadly diseases, such as distemper, rabies, parvovirus, heartworm disease, tick borne disease, and more.

Maintaining the health of your pet sometimes means that he or she must undergo a surgical procedure. Our team is well trained in anesthesia and surgery, and we take extra precautions to ensure that all procedures are conducted safely. Each of our anesthetized patients is given a sedative and pain medication beforehand to decrease stress and lower the amount of anesthetic drug that must be used. An IV catheter is placed to create direct venous access in the event of an emergency. All patients are intubated, allowing for us to better control your pet's oxygenation and to prevent aspiration pneumonia (a very common post-operative complication). We monitor all anesthetized patients throughout the procedure with pulse oximetry, capnography, eletrocardiogram (EKG), blood pressure, body temperature, heart rate, and respiratory rate. We take several precautions to prevent hypothermia during anesthesia, including an air-heated pad throughout the procedure and fast surgical times. We will stay with your pet throughout the entire surgery until he or she is fully recovered. Your pet will then be sent home with pain medications, an elizabethan collar, and antibiotics if needed. Additionally, we offer a large variety of surgical procedures to help your pet stay healthy. You can put your mind at ease knowing that your beloved pet is in experienced, careful, and loving hands!

In-Patient and Out-Patient Care
If your pet is ill and in need of care, our experienced team of Veterinarians will assess your pet and develop a plan of treatment that best suites you and your pet's needs. We offer in-patient hospitalization with various medical treatments as needed, such as IV fluids, IV medications, monitoring tools, oxygen therapy, etc. Alternatively, depending on the severity of disease, your Veterinarian may discuss out-patient care to help your pet get better from the comfort of your home.
Maintaining the health of your pet also means keeping his or her coat clean, mat-free, and shining! Regular grooming not only helps the coat, but it can keep the skin healthy as well, decreasing dandruff, allergens, and risk of infection. Please contact us or visit our Groom page to learn more about our grooming services.
We happily treat the following types of pets:
- Pocket Pets (guinea pigs, rats, rabbits, etc)
